This three-day roundtable brought together queer Syrian activists, researchers, legal professionals, and community leaders to engage in strategic dialogue on justice, protection, and advocacy in post-conflict and displacement contexts.

Building on the findings of the Out of the Shadows study and previous community workshops, the gathering aimed to strengthen solidarity, amplify queer Syrian voices, and explore collective justice and accountability frameworks across borders.

Key discussion areas included:

  • Transitional justice and queer experiences in post-conflict settings
  • Legal reform models and protection strategies
  • Advocacy tools and transnational solidarity
  • Community mobilization and diaspora engagement

The final day concluded with a community dinner and open discussion on July 4, 2025, hosted at Riwaq Berlin, bringing together participants and members of the local LGBTQ+ community.
